Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon Levitt have been officially cast in The Dark Knight Rises.
Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman feature will see the former, Cotillard, play Miranda Tate, described as “a Wayne Industries board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham.” She has previously been nominated for an Oscar for her work in La Vie En Rose.
The latter, Levitt, will play John Blake, described as “a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon.”
Both appeared in Nolan’s last film, Inception, and will join another member of the dream-based science fiction, Tom Hardy, who is due to play the film’s villain Bane.
