Dave Grohl and Co. have confirmed that they will be working on the follow-up to ‘Wasting Light’ in 2012
No-one could accuse Foo Fighters of taking things easy this year. After releasing their seventh studio album, ‘Wasting Light’ in April, playing exclusive gigs in fan’s basements, and the small matter of playing two massive gigs in the UK at Milton Keynes Bowl, the band have now announced that they are planning to start working on a new album next year.
Frontman Dave Grohl wrote this on the band’s official blog :
If you would have told me 17 years ago that in 2012 I would be writing songs for our 8th studio album…well…if it weren’t for you guys, we wouldn’t be here
The band are also performing a handful of gigs in early 2012, including two nights at the Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Visit the band’s official website for more information.
