‘Tallahassee Turns Ten’, a Kickstarter Project by Blade Barringer, has already reached two of its goals, and is well on its way to reaching a third.
Ten years ago, on 5 November, THE MOUNTAIN GOATS released their album ‘Tallahassee’, to widespread critical acclaim. Ten years later, artists from all genres are coming together to create ‘Tallahassee Turns Ten: A Mountain Goats Cover Album’. Started by Blade Barringer, this Kickstarter project achieved its goal of raising $1500, and has since gone one to raise another $1000. The new goal is now $4000 before 18 December, 2011, and the extra money will be divided amongst the artists as a budget/stipend.
Artists confirmed for the project so far include YOUNGEST SON, MOONER, JEFFREY LEWIS and ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD. If you want to get involved with the project, click here.
