JAMES MORRISON: “I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve”

James+Morrison+JamesM

With his third album “The Awakening” reaching Number One in the UK charts, preparations for his 2012 tour getting underway, and collaborating with the likes of JESSIE J, JAMES MORRISON has certainly had a busy year.

He described his latest album, “The Awakening”, during an interview with Virgin Red Room, as “an autobiographical album with different characters from soul, folk, blues, and pop rock”, and is his “most personal [album] yet.” Morrison rose to fame in 2006, with the release of his debut single “You Give Me Something”, and his debut album “Undiscovered” reached Number One in the UK charts.

Morrison’s current project, a collaboration with JESSIE J on the track “Up”, has achieved great succes, but Morrison has no plans for more duets any time soon. “There’s nobody in the pipeline at the moment…but who knows what might happen?” he added.

You can catch JAMES MORRISON on tour in the UK from January 28th until February 19th. When asked if he had any surprises planned, Morrison responded with “Life always has surprises, so I’m sure there will be. At this point it’s too early to say, but yes, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve.” To find out what surprises JAMES MORRISON has in store for us, check him out on his 2012 UK Tour (full gig listings)
