SNL Highlights: Charles Barkley App and Little Lord Wyndemere

Last night Charles Barkley took the famous Saturday Night Live stage and unforetunately, it was pretty “turrible.” A combination of sketches and bits that went on for way too long (I’m looking at you Rick Santorum cold open and Fred Arminsen’s skewed news) and a stilted and wooden host made for a painful hour and a half.

However, even with all it’s problems, there were a couple sketches worthy of being highlighted.

Charles Barkley App

At every post-game press conference, coaches and players try to skirt around their weaknesses and only spin the positive. With this handy app, Charles Barkley translates all the BS into the bare bones of what they’re really saying. Sports fans will appreciate this candidness!

 

Little Lord Wyndemere

While I wasn’t a fan of this sketch when it first appeared last year, this week’s bit had the biggest laughs for me! It was funny with the promenade and the riddle, but once Charles Barkley was holding Paul Brittain and Jason Sudekis pinched his butt, I was dying! This is definitely Paul Brittain’s best character at the moment.
