EMMA WATSON to Star in Sofia Coppola’s film THE BLING RING

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson will be starring as a thief in Sofia Coppola’s future film The Bling Ring. Coppola has written the film and also will be producing and directing it.

The films synopsis is:

 The film is about a group of fashion-and-fame-obsessed teens who track celebrities’ whereabouts online and then break into their homes and steal designer clothes and possessions. It is inspired by true events.

In a statement released by Coppola she said, “I am excited about the young cast we’re assembling and I’m looking forward to shooting on location here in Los Angeles.”

Back in 2003 Coppola won the best original screenplay Oscar for her hit film “Lost in Translation.”

I’ll keep you guys updated on more facts that come from this film (including more on Emma’s character) and when shooting begins!
