Glee creator Ryan Murphy is beginning to write a new musical comedy called One-Hit Wonders which has quite the A-list lineup. Murphy says he has five major stars ready to begin working on this new film who are Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce and Andy Samberg.
According to CinemaBlend the film synopsis will possibly be:
One Hit, set up at Sony Pictures, would star Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz as pop artists who all had one-hit wonders at some point in their faded careers and decide to team up and form a supergroup. Samberg would be responsible for coming up with original music for the film, while Beyonce, I’m guessing will play a variation of her pop-sensation self, maybe as a rival for the other A-listers.
Murphy will collaborate with some members of his Glee staff Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan to develop the script. There isn’t any more things about the film out yet, so once things begin to get set and the film does actually begin production I’ll update everyone! What do you guys think of this film idea?
