I’m really looking forward to the return of Dermot Mulroney tomorrow night on New Girl, “Normal”. It seems Jess and Russell have been away for a week on a “Sexcation”. Jess shares with CeCe that things between the two of them seem pretty perfect, but when CeCe points out that he never spends time at the loft, Jess decides it might be time to share her side of Life with Russell. In the clip below, the roommates decide to play “True American” which seems to be a very strange, misguided, patriotically-based drinking game. Russell has no idea what the rules are, and neither do I, no matter how many times I watch the clip. It does turn out that Fancyman isn’t so Fancy when he shotguns a beer to kick off the game.
What do you think of Russell? I think the addition of Dermot Mulroney has added an interesting element to Jess and was a clever way of helping her mature. I’ve been really happy with the past two weeks, this and the other YouTube clips for “Normal” made me laugh and I’m ready for another score for Meriwether and team. Lets see if we can go for a three-peat!
