Remembering back to the early installments of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, when Jimmy spent most of the hour laughing at his own jokes and nervously stumbling over interviews, it would be hard to imagine him coming this far in such a short amount of time. Sure, there’s been some iconic moments with musical guests like Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul McCartney, but last night’s guest appearance by President Barack Obama may have been a crowning achievement the show won’t soon top.

In a skit practically made for our Commander in Chief, the President was joined by Fallon and The Roots to “Slow Jam the News,” discussing his plans for student loans. I think we all knew President Obama had this type of appearance in him, but it still doesn’t take away that fact that it’s one of the coolest things ever. And Jimmy even appears to keep it together.
