The Dark Knight Rises. The Amazing Spider-Man. The Expendables 2. What do these movies have in common? Well, to start they are among of the most anticipated movies of this year. Behind The Avengers, I’d have to say The Dark Knight Rises is my next geekgasm must-see flick. In addition to their demand, they also all recently announced that new full length trailers will debut in theaters, airing before The Avengers.
What’s worthy to note is that they didn’t have to resort to teasers for trailers or vlogs from the stars and creators announcing when these would premiere – they went old school with a simple comment at Cinema Con, going on in Las Vegas right now. When your movies have the hype built in, a simple notice is enough to get the masses whipped in to a fervor on Twitter. And when your trailers are premiering in front of the superhero movie to rule them all, it does all the teasing that’s needed.
