Another film written and directed by brothers Jay and Mark Duplass (Cyrus, Jeff, Who Lives at Home. the Puffy Chair) has been given a trailer. The Do-Deca-Pentathlon is a indie comedy about two brothers who revive a childhood Olympic style game as two grown men. I saw this film earlier this year at SXSW and actually quite enjoyed it. If you are a fan of the Duplass brothers then you will surely enjoy this film. The trailer looks rather boring but the film is better than that. It is rich with that classic Duplass brothers humor and speaks well to those of us that grew up with siblings. Myself, had a younger brother just two years my junior whom I had a rivalrous relationship with so this movie was very relatable for me. Check out the trailer below:
The story of two grown brothers (Mark Kelly & Steve Zissis) who secretly compete in a homemade Olympics during a family reunion. When their fierce and disruptive competition is uncovered, the brothers must pick between their passion for beating the hell out of each other and the greater good of the family.
The Do-Deca-Pentathlon gets a limited release on July 6 so be sure to check it out! Also, follow me on Twitter @Casey_Carroll and of course, the best site ever @ScreenInvasion for more awesome movie and television talk!
