In preparation for the TV Upfronts, The CW announced that Hart of Dixie would be returning for a second season. While it wasn’t exactly a ratings smash, The CW doesn’t really have the luxury of being too picky with hits or misses because of its mini-network status.
As I said on the latest episode of The Small Screen Podcast, Hart of Dixie is full of charm and sweetness – feeling like a show more in line with the era of Gilmore Girls than the current television landscape. It’s a light-hearted show and a good escape from the grittiness of say Bones and the intensity of Revenge.
