All of the movie buzz recently has been about The Avengers, but yesterday we were served a reminder of that other big comic movie coming out this summer, The Dark Knight Rises. The trailer will air in theaters before The Avengers, but if you can’t wait to see it on the big screen you can watch it online right now.

A few things to note about this trailer. What strikes me the most about this trailer is how quiet it is over all. There’s not much speaking, and most of the time, it’s from the villian Bane. In the brief clips that I have seen of the movie, I was deeply concerned about Bane’s voice. I was worried about being able to understand him, but his voice was very clear in this one. Did they make that change after all the complaints from the first trailer?

Another big note I’d like to point out is the emergence of Joseph Gordon Levitt. It was rumored for a while that he would be playing Batman’s side kick Robin, but his character is John Blake, a young cop who help’s Batman take down Bane, according to his IMDB page. It was nice to get some insight on his character, as it was largely a mystery before this.

Last note on the trailer: the football field scene. I mean seriously. I don’t know if I’ve ever been so excited to see one specific shot in a movie on the big screen ever. How is it possible that this shot won’t be the most epic thing ever?! Tell me! I can’t wait. This movie is going to rock.

What are your thoughts on the trailer? What do you think of Gordon Levitt’s character? Let us know in the comments!
