Shawn Levy has found his next project. THR reports that the Date Night and Real Steel director is planning to produce a post-apocalyptic spec script called Monster Problems for Paramount Pictures. Since it is a spec script the plot details are few and far between. The story will reportedly “center around a road trip and is likened to both Mad Max and Zombieland with John Hughes overtones.”
Brian Duffield penned the spec script. He currently has a western called Jane Got a Gun, which is nearing production with director Lynne Ramsay starring Natalie Portman. I think the title and plot sound pretty cool. Real Steel was a really fun film, and this sounds pretty damn cool. What do you think?
