It’s that time again: another weekly DVD/Blu-Ray Roundup! Here are the new releases for the week and my opinion on whether you should Skip It! Rent It! or Buy It!
This weeks big releases are Friends With Kids, Salmon Fishing in The Yemen, and Get The Gringo. Three very different and interesting films that you guys will like!

- The Fairy, (starring Dominique Abel, Fiona Gordon, Bruno Romy, and Philippe Martz), DVD and Blu-Ray.
- Intruders, (starring Clive Owen, Carice Van Houten, Ella Purnell, Kerry Fox, Ella Hunt, Imogen Gray, and Daniel Bruhl), DVD and Blu-Ray.
- Lockout, (starring Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace), DVD and Blu-Ray. Here’s our review of the film. Guy Pearce is a really wonderful actor, but this movie didn’t get love.
- 4:44 Last Days on Earth, (starring Willem Dafoe, Shanyn Leigh, Natasha Lyonne and Paul Hipp), DVD and Blu-Ray. Here’s our review of the film. This movie was pretty under the radar, despite being an official selection for the Venice and New York film festivals. Given our review of the film, that makes sense.
- The Inbetweeners- The Complete Series, DVD.

- Friends with Kids, (starring Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Megan Fox, Chris O’Dowd, Maya Rudolph, Edward Burns, Adam Scott, Lee Bryant, Kelly Bishop, and Cotter Smith), DVD and Blu-Ray. The cast is excellent! Here’s the trailer.
- Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, (starring Emily Blunt, Ewan McGregor and Kristin Scott Thomas), DVD and Blu-Ray. Here’s the trailer.
- Get the Gringo, (starring Mel Gibson), DVD and Blu-Ray. It’s Mel Gibson, being awesome. Enter to win the Blu-Ray here! Also, here’s our review of the film.
- The Turin Horse, (starring Janos Derzsi, Erika Bok, Mihaly Kormos, and Ricsi), DVD and Blu-Ray. This film has gotten an amazing amount of great reviews!
- Leverage: Season Four, DVD. One of the best shows on TNT and the DVD has a bunch of extras and special features like commentary and behind the scenes stuff. Follow us on Twitter for a chance to win this on DVD this week.
- Storage Wars: Volume 3, DVD. This show is a really popular show. Once you watch it, you’re hooked despite how ridiculous the premise sounds.
- Lone Wolf McQuade, (starring Chuck Norris and David Carradine), Blu-Ray. Two legends together plus Blu-ray equals awesome.
- Code of Silence, (starring Chuck Norris), Blu-Ray. It’s Chuck Norris. He’ll know if you don’t buy it.
