Many fans of Dexter (including myself) are anxiously awaiting for the upcoming season, which is sure to be amazing, and now we have a new Dexter season 7 trailer! We’ve seen some teasers (here, here and here), and now we get another cool trailer.

Judging by this trailer, it seems like maybe they set the church on fire? Could it be? Perhaps Deb and Dexter just run away from the church? It’s going to be an intensely amazing season!
Now, there could be a possibility for a ninth season! Just when we thought that season 8 will be the last, in a recent interview with TV Guide, Showtime president David Nevins says that the door is being left open for the possibility of a season 9. Apparently, the possibility of having a season 9 is because of some game-changing moments in this upcoming season.
Producer Sara Colleton went on to talk about the focus of this season:
It is about things he’s never experienced before, which are regret, responsibility, shame, betrayal, all of those things. Also, it’s the flip side of wanting to be known, and then once you are known, there’s a loss of freedom. It comes with heavy responsibility, so he’s dealing with a lot of emotions that he’s never had before, and never been allowed to feel before or allowed himself to feel before.
