GOD BLESS AMERICA – Blu-Ray Review

Depending on your age, Bobcat Goldthwait is a name that either means something to you or it doesn’t. For some, he’s the lovable loudmouth from the Police Academy movies. For others, you’re just hearing his name for the first time reading this article. Well the past few years he’s proven that he can do more than just yell incoherently (it’s what he does in Police Academy, kids). He can also direct a damn good film.

GOD BLESS AMERICA takes everything that’s wrong with our country, gives a character a target, and blasting away at all the things we find annoying he goes.

Official Synopsis: Frank (Joel Murray) has had enough of the downward spiral of American culture. Divorced, recently fired, and possibly terminally ill, Frank feels he has nothing left to live for. However, instead of taking his own life, he embarks on a killing spree with cohort Roxy (Tara Lynne Barr), who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement, and together they launch a nation-wide assault on the country’s dumbest, most irritating celebrities.

Bonus Features:

  • Behind the Scenes: Killing with Kindness
  • God Bless TV: Deleted/Extended Scenes
  • Outtakes
  • Interviews with Bobcat Goldthwait, Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr
  • HDNet: A Look at God Bless America
  • Roxy and Frank Music Video
  • Commentary with Bobcat Goldthwait, Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr
  • Theatrical Trailer
