From director Jennifer Lynch (Boxing Helena, Surveillance), the NC-17 rated Chained will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 2nd. Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Law & Order: Criminal Intent) plays Bob, a serial killer who picks up victims in his cab and uses a hostage (Eamon Farren) to clean up after his gruesome murders.
The film also features supporting cast members Gina Phillips (Jeepers Creepers), Julia Ormond (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, My Week With Marilyn), and Jake Weber (Dawn of the Dead, Medium).

A very promising minute and a half. Chained looks like it could just be one of the best horror movies of the year. It screened at the Cannes Film Festival–garnering praise for both the film itself and Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance. Perhaps it will restore some confidence in the genre, because there is definitely something exciting (and maybe a little controversial) about that NC-17 rating!
