From the network that brings you the notorious “Wars” shows that you can’t help but be mildly entertained by, A&E is bringing a new, innovative medical thriller that may not have “Wars” in its title, but still promising nonetheless.
Coma is a two night mini series starring James Woods, Geena Davis, Richard Dreyfuss, Ellen Burstyn, Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) and Stephen Pasquale (Rescue Me) premiering on A&E, Monday, September 3 and concluding on Tuesday, September 4 at 9PM ET/PT each night.

In “Coma,” a young doctor (Lauren Ambrose) discovers that something sinister is going on in her hospital after routine procedures send more than a few seemingly healthy patients into comas on the operating table, according to the A&E website.
For Comic-Con attendees, Coma will be presenting the “Coma” experience based on the miniseries from Ridley and Tony Scott. The event will be located on 1st Ave & J St. (right outside of the Convention Center) at 11:00 AM- 9:00 PM from Thursday, July 12, till Saturday, July 14.
Participants will first be greeted by the Jefferson Institute nurses, who will be leading the visitors to security monitors to get a first glimpse of the miniseries. The nurses will then take their visitors to see if they’re good candidates for the tour, and if they are, they will get to experience the ultimate “Coma” experience, having it be witnessing the doctors at work, a viewing of the “Coma Pod” that was actually used in the Ridley and Tony Scott production, and even scoring a green screen photo that places them inside the Coma Pod as if they were the victims themselves!
The event is completely free, and will be a promising and exclusive experience at the 15,000 square foot “Jefferson Institute” for those interested in participating.
