Those of us waiting for the next installment in Marvel’s ultra successful Avengers franchise are going to have to be quite patient as Disney released a timeline for the next batch of Marvel films. The official statement went as follows “Joss Whedon returns to write and direct the untitled Marvel’s Avengers sequel, set for release on May 1, 2015.”; That’s right almost three years to wait for the Avenger’s 2. Luckily other films set in Marvel’s universe will be popping up quite a bit sooner and will hopefully be able to make the wait much more bearable.
Iron Man 3 will be the first to land in theaters May 3rd next year and will Marvel’s first threequel in their new universe. Thor 2: The Dark World will be the second sequel to hit theaters with a November 8th 2013 release date. The film will see Hemsworth back in action and will most likely showcase the start of the second story line that will extent into the next Avengers film. With Captain America: Winter Solider and Guardians of the Galaxy both expected to land summer of 2014. Unfortunately the Ant-Man movie which has been hinted at by various people supposedly involved still has no concrete evidence of actually being made.
