The Weinstein Company has released the second trailer for its upcoming film Lawless, starring Tom Hardy (Inception and The Dark Knight Rises) Shia LaBeouf (Disturbia and Transformers) and Jason Clarke (Brotherhood) as three rebellious brothers who must fight off corrupted legal authorities and a ruthless mob in order to protect their profits. Based on the true story of the notorious Bondurant Brothers in Depression era Virginia, the film’s screenplay written by Nick Cave, is based off of Matt Bondurant’s novel, The Wettest County in the World which tells the tales of the infamous bootleggers in his family.
The trailer is fast-paced, action-packed and seems like a great spectacle for those that love crime flicks, danger and Westerns. Directed by Australian film director John Hillcoat , Lawless seems like the ultimate epic action-packed film. The cast includes a bunch of influential actors such as Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, Guy Pearce and Gary Oldman. In this movie, the loyalties of siblings are put to the test while gun shots, smoke and fist fights dominate the screen, making for a wild ride you won’t want to miss. Not to mention, judging by this second trailer, the characters say some pretty witty remarks and the movie may just be the source for your new favourite quotes.
So if you don’t already have a raging Western gangster gun show to go to on August 31, 2012, I suggest you check this one out.
