So yet again we are treated to another awesome deleted scene from The Avengers! This one has Captain America, and gives him a re- introduction into the series. We see a video that Cap is watching which is a newsreel about himself, then he turns it off and looks at documents and we see him look somber at the picture of Peggy, realizing she’s alive. He then also makes a connection between Howard Stark and his son Tony Stark. Then he heads outside and is walking to a cafe where he sits, and is drawing (what would be Stark Tower, but the MetLife building wasn’t replaced yet). We get a more in depth introduction to the waitress (played by Ashley Johnson) who will later be saved by Cap and be interviewed on the news. They talk a little bit then we get what I’m assuming would have been the original Stan Lee cameo (which is awesome)!!! Then Cap is on a subway heading to the gym where the scene with Agent Fury happens (which originally introduces Captain America in the film).
