Screen Actors Guild Awards
The cast and crew have been nominated for 10 Screen Actors Guild Awards since 2010. Ty Burrell and Sofía Vergara were both nominated for individual acting awards for the past two years, and in 2011 and 2012, the entire cast took home the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series award!
Television Critic Awards
Modern Family has been nominated for eight Television Critic Awards, including three consecutive nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy! The Family has received two Outstanding Achievement in Comedy awards, and Ty Burrell also received an Individual Achievement in Comedy award in 2011.
Writers Guild of America Awards
Over the past three years, Modern Family has been nominated for nine Writers Guild of America Awards, and has won five of those. They’ve won two for Best Episodic Comedy, one for New Series in 2010, and two for Best Comedy Series.
Golden Globe Awards
Modern Family has been nominated for a collective seven Golden Globe Awards! In 2010 and 2012, the show was nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, taking home the award in 2012. Both Eric Stonestreet and Sofía Vergara were also nominated for acting awards two years in a row.
Primetime Emmy Awards
The cast and crew of Modern Family has been nominated for an outstanding 31 Primetime Emmy Awards, has won eight of them, and still has 10 nominations that will be announced later this year! Modern Family boasts wins in Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series (Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell), Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing For A Comedy Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series (Julie Bowen).
