Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper of all time. I’m not saying he’s the greatest( that’s Jay-Z in my opinion), but as far as who I enjoy listening to the most, it’s Lupe. His 4th Studio Album, Food & Liquor 2, is coming out tomorrow, and I will be reviewing it later this week. In honor of this big news, our Music Monday is “I Don’t Wanna Care Right Now”, my favorite song off of his 3rd album, Lasers. Critics and fans alike were universal in their belief that Laser was a big step down from Food & Liquor and The Cool, and while I did like those albums more, I still really enjoyed Lasers. It was a bit more pop music then the others, but it had it’s own appeal to me. My guess is if he has the audacity to make a sequeal to Food & Liquor, the album that made him a star, he’s cofident in his product. I’m 50/50 on the songs he’s released so far, but I still have high hopes.
