No matter how you feel about the RoboCop reboot, it is definitely happening. Jose Padilha is shooting the film currently, with The Killing’s Joel Kinnaman in the lead. Thanks to Comingsoon.net, we have our first look at the RoboCop‘s new suit of armor. There are supposed to be four different armors used in the film, and this is just one of them. This may not be the one that gets the most screen time, so keep that in mind.
I personally do not like this suit. While it looks lightweight, having only one color makes it look horrible. I have to keep my self calm because we are seeing set photos here, and not a finished product of the film. Check out the images and sound off in the comments section below!
The film arrives in theaters on August 9th, 2013. It also stars Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
The movie is set to be released on August 9th, 2013.
Official Synopsis:
In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. Jackson (The Avengers) as media mogul Pat Novak. RoboCop is being produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman, with Eric Carraro as Executive Producer. The film is currently in pre-production and slated for a summer 2013 release.
