STAN LEE’S COMIKAZE EXPO: Day 1 Recap

Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo was the place to be on September 15th and 16th for all the people out there who love Comics, Anime, Gaming, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror and well…STAN LEE! There were different panels, autograph booths with awesome celebrities like Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery, Adrianne Curry, and Lou Ferrigno as well as exhibitors showing off cool things.

Myself and my best friend Chocolate, who helped me out a lot with picture taking, attended both days and had a blast. We saw the Boondock Saints Panel, Stan talking about his new upcoming game Verticus, World of Heroes Panel, a bunch of exhibitors and a guy who came dressed as Bane and was quite possibly the best Bane, aside from Tom Hardy, I’ve ever seen.

IT’S LOU!

DAY 1:

Stan Lee and Moonshark Mobile introduced Verticus. An excerpt from the face book page for the game: Verticus puts players in the role of a superhero equipped with a high tech jump suit who must prevent the Earth’s destruction at the hands of an evil alien race known as The Obliterators! Players free fall through the atmosphere and into the very center of our planet, avoiding treacherous obstacles and attacks while collection materials that can be used to enhance the players’ suit and weaponry with dozens of upgrades.
The game will be available FALL 2012!

Here are pictures and a teaser trailer for the game:

The Boondock Saints Panel was next, and it was an awesome one! Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco were the ones there. They each took questions from us and were joking around and being badasses. Also, addressing the potential for a part 3, which doesn’t look like will happen.  At the end of the panel, Norman was being utterly amazing by trying to shake as many hands as he could before he headed out, even stopping to take a few pictures.

Here are some photos and a video (courtesy of GeekPeeks) from the panel:

Stan and Todd McFarlane also had a panel, discussing their awesome legacies:

Dust Up booth was were we headed to next, we met Amber Benson (from Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and learned about this film and got to talk to her a little which was amazing, they really love all the support they are getting for the film!

Synopsis of the film: Dust Up is a freaked out joyride of weirdness &fun, a modern day western& super violent cartoon brought to life.

Here are our pictures with her:

We then headed around and looked at all the exhibitor booths and bought a bunch of comics!

Check out my Captain America stash!:
