BORDERLANDS 2: Tough Wub

Borderlands 2 is overflowing with Easter eggs. Whether it’s an underwater city you can see in a few puddles or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles battle, there’s bound to be something that warrants a smirk of satisfaction. However it also features something for the “older” gamer- the infamous Konami Code. The code featured in a number of Konami’s games and first appeared in 1986 in Gradius for the NES.

Entering this iconic code on the Borderlands  2  main screen will unlock a special “Extra Wubs” mode. Sadly though, despite all the effort you have to go to to remember the code and enter it correctly, the mode does absolutely nothing and even comes with a message of apology from Gearbox, the developer of the game. However if you just want to do it for the thrill of it the code is Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B [crouch for PC/PS3 players], A [jump button for PC/PS3 players], Start. The mode will be sitting there in the gameplay section of the options to relish in your disappointment. Somewhere Claptrap is dancing sadly by himself. [VG247]
