LINCOLN Soundtrack Review – John Williams at his Finest!

Here is Lincoln soundtrack review.  John Williams‘ musical scores are magical in so many ways. The composer has worked with Steven Spielberg for over forty years, producing such wonderful scores for films such as the Indiana Jones films, Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan. The score for Lincoln deserves to be mention along with those other scores going forward. I have been listening to the OST all this week on my way to and from work, and I can say it is sweepingly epic.

There are moments of calm and joy mixed with rousing moments that make me proud to be an American on this score that clocks in at over 58 minutes in length. The opening track, The People’s House will surely be one of the songs that pushes Lincoln to an Oscar. My favorite tracks on this OST have to be The Blue and the Grey, Freedom’s Call and Appomattox, April 9, 1865.

If you are a fan of Williams’ work, then I highly recommend you pick this OST up in stores today. I plan on seeing Lincoln in theaters this weekend, and expect it to be one film that is surely nominated come Oscar season.
