This week there are some really great releases: Pitch Perfect, Total Recall, Trouble with the Curve, Sleepwalk With Me, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. A really interesting mixture of genres!

- Pitch Perfect, (starring Alexis Knapp, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, Anna Camp, Jacob Wysocki, John Michael Higgins, Elizabeth Banks, Hana Mae Lee, and Ester Dean). This film was really awesome! I loved it. The entire cast was lovely, the singing was great and it literally makes you want to join an acapella group! I feel like it was a surprise hit, because I don’t think a lot of people thought this film would be as great as it was. Here is our review of it. - Total Recall, (starring Colin Farrell, Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, Bill Nighy, Jessica Biel, and John Cho). It’s the remake of the original film with a pretty awesome cast, and as usual Colin Farrell delivers! It’s available on Three Disc Blu-Ray Combo Pack, Two Disc Blu-Ray Combo Pack, and DVD on Amazon.
- Trouble with the Curve, (starring Clint Eastwood, Justin Timberlake, Amy Adams, John Goodman, and Matthew Lillard). A stellar cast, with Clint and Amy doing a marvelous job playing father and daughter making us believe they actually are. Here is our review of the film. - Sleepwalk with Me, (starring Mike Birbiglia, Lauren Ambrose, Lucy DeVito, Aya Cash, Wyatt Cenac, Ira Glass, Marc Maron, and Kristen Schaal). I’ve heard plenty of buzz about this film, because of that I’d say it’s definitely worth buying. Read our review of the film here. It’s available on Blu-Ray and DVD on Amazon.
- Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, (starring Devon Bostick, Steve Zahn, Peyton List, Rachael Harris, Zachary Gordon, Karan Brar, Robert Capron, Laine MacNeil, Grayson Russell, and Connor Fielding). The books that these films are based on are really great books that are incredibly popular with kids. The movies seem to also do well amongst kids too, so I think this is perfect for the kids in your family! It’s available on Blu-Ray and DVD on Amazon.
