I recently came across a very interesting Indiegogo page a filmmaker friend of mine, Jeffrey Brant, setup. He is actually a local filmmaker in Nashville thought I bought the camera I currently use from and I really love this guys work.
His grandmother was recently diagnosed with cancer with only months to live. He wants to get some buddies together to form a film crew to go up to Canada to create an inspiring documentary as the grandmother goes through the process that is cancer and its treatments. The documentary is called Head Up Hearts Full. Here is what he had to say as his introduction:
My name is Jeffrey Brant. I’m a 25 year old, aspiring filmmaker from the Nashville, TN area. Although I’m a very happy resident of this city, I’m also a full-blooded Native American of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation Reservation in Ontario, Canada.
In early January of this year, my Grandmother was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. The doctors have only given her a couple months to live. It’s a difficult time, but I’m reaching out to you guys today to ask for your help.
This is a young, very talented, aspiring filmmaker in need of some help funding wise in order to make his debut into the documentary world. I know this guy will create a very heartfelt documentary with whatever funding he receives. I am hoping that he reaches his goal and above to help show support for all of those affected by cancer on a day-to-day basis.
Check out the Indiegogo campaign video:
Hopefully you can see from after watching the video that Brant has a good head on his shoulders and is a great filmmaker. Feel free to go to the Indiegogo page for Head Up Heart Full and donate today. As of when I’m posting this the project has 29 days left with only having met 6% of the goal. Let’s make this documentary happen people!
