Music Monday: “Forever Now” by Ne-Yo

Every Monday, we highlight one song that you may not have heard of, may not have heard in ages, or one that we just can’t seem to get out of our heads. Enjoy!

I’m a sucker for a good song about a broken heart. Throw in a catchy beat and it’s my jam. I’ve been obsessively listening to the new Ne-Yo song “Forever Now” because it hits my musical sweet spot of basically dancing through the heartbreak.

Full “Forever Now” lyrics:

Was gonna give you these flowers tonight
Was gonna ask you to stay
Crack all this that I would say is just right
But now there are no words to say.

As I watch you kiss him softly the same way you kissed me
ask me what am I gonna do with forever now?
tell me what am I gonna do with forever now?
All the plans we’ve made the work can’t deny around
So tell me what am I gonna do with forever now?
What do I do now?

What do I do now?

In slow motion I let this flowers leave the ground
and I’ll be before I turn to me
I watch you kissin..can’t see me

Chorus:
And I scream what am I gonna do with forever now?
tell me what am I gonna do with forever now?
All the plans we’ve made the work can’t deny around
So tell me what am I gonna do with forever now?
What do I do now?

Everything you said we would be
all the things you said me do
I will go my life forever.. need you

Chorus:
And I scream what am I gonna do with forever now?
(what do I do, what do I do?)
tell me what am I gonna do with forever now?
(what do I do, what do I do?)
All the plans we’ve made the work can’t deny around
So tell me what am I gonna do with forever now?
What do I do now?

What do I do now?
What do I do now?

What do I do, what do I do now?
What do I do now?
What do I do, what do I do now?
