New image from THE TREE OF LIFE shows dinosaur

The prospect of Terrence Malick using CGI dinosaurs in his newest release, The Tree Of Life, has been, surprisingly, one of the film’s hottest topics for debate. Today, however, Fox Searchlight has provided us with a full size image of one!

The image has uploaded to The Tree Of Life’s Tumblr, Two Ways Through Life, and shows a dinosaur walking through the stream of a river.

Malick’s new film hopes to juxtapose the evolution of life itself – this is where to dinosaur will presumable come in – with the narrative of a family in the 1950s and their eldest son’s subsequent existential crisis. So, basically, your typical summer fodder then!

It is released on May 27th in the US and will premiere at Cannes before that. Debate still rages on as to whether the UK will see it first on May 4th or now. We’ll keep you posted on that front.
