The Hundred Days Release Debut Album ‘REALLY?’ Following "Sex U" Single and Video Success

The Hundred Days, an indie dance act out of San Francisco, packed their debut album REALLY? with catchy, creative indie rock that you can dance to; mirroring acts like The Rapture, The Bravery, The Killers, and The Faint.

Really? is the latest project from the production team of Michael Patterson (Beck, Ladytron, She Wants Revenge) and Nic Jodoin (Great Northern). With driving rhythms, soaring guitars, textural keyboards and powerful vocal melodies, The Hundred Days push indie/alt rock in new directions. Drawing from a variety of influences (post punk, alternative, britpop), the band’s familiar, yet intrinsically unique sound has been compared to The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, and Radiohead as well as contemporary rockers Franz Ferdinand, The Bravery and The Killers. A moody, dynamic indie rock band, The Hundred Days showcase tight musicianship complemented by razor-sharp pop writing capabilities with both sophistication and urgency.

Their first single from the album, “Sex U” and accompanying video has attracted an enormous buzz on the Internet, with NME naming it one of the “10 Best Free MP3s”. The video, directed by David Dutton, follows the band on a wild night out on the town where the ladies they meet aren’t exactly what they seem. Press has been clamoring for it after it premiered on Baeble, followed by a featured Video of the Day on AOL Spinner and Consequence of Sound, among other sites.

Some fellow music sites have already taken notice of the indie rockers and seemed all for the band’s future success:
“Whatever happened to good ole fashioned bombast? We thought it was gone
until we heard ‘Sex U.’ The lead-off track on San Francisco’s The Hundred
Days’ debut is a rare glimpse into a dying breed of freaky dance-rock songs
that are awesome, above all, because they are big and fun and cheeky.” -RCRD_LBL

“The single, ‘Sex U,’ is a freak-out dance-rock anthem for late nights,
models, booze, and sexy excesses.” -ALTSOUNDS

“’Sex U’ is a powerful dance hit that makes you feel…dirty, but in a good
way!” -BEAUTIFUL BUZZZ

The band is kicking off its West Coast tour later this month followed by a full, fall tour of the US later in the year.

Jessi was born and raised in Chicago, but she left her heart in NYC. She has been to more concerts than days of school, but somehow still made her way to university. Her idea of fun is an evening of karaoke to the worst songs of the '90s while a lit cigarette lies burning in the corner. She used to refer to herself as an "aspiring music journalist" but one day, she just woke up and decided she was one. That being said, she's always writing and always hungry for more.
