THE CABIN IN THE WOODS Gives Us A Trailer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer genuis, Joss Whedon, provides us with a pretty interesting horror film in the form of his new The Cabin in the Woods flick before we get a taste of his Avengers this summer. A new trailer for the film has surfaced and we got it right here.  Directed by Drew Goddard and written by Goddard and Joss Whedon, the film seems to grab the horror genre by the neck and turn it in any direction it wants. Personally, I’m looking forward to horror movies getting back to being horror movies and trying to build up thigh gripping, teeth-chattering suspense and then scare the crap out of us. Cabin looks like it may do just that for us. Thank the horror movie gods for this.  In Whedon we trust.. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think. It premieres April 13. Will you be checking this out opening day?

Synopsis:

A group of friends head to a cabin in the far reaches of the wilderness for some vacation fun, but they end up getting something completely different in this MGM horror flick. Cloverfield scribe Drew Goddard takes a seat in the director’s chair for the first time for this film that he and Joss Whedon wrote together. Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, and Jesse Williams head up an ensemble cast.
