PIRANHA 3DD, JOHN CARTER, THE ARTIST and more on Movies on Demand

Going to movie theaters these days can be ridiculously expensive, so viewers need to selective in these down economic times. That’s why we here at Screen Invasion always highlight what’s available on DVD/Blu-Ray and what’s on demand. There’s a lot of good movies out there, but everyone’s working off a finite budget.

A number of recent box office hits are premiering on Movies On Demand in June, including Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Safe House, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and 21 Jump Street. Plus, the 2012 Academy Awards winner, The Artist (Best Picture, Director, Actor) premieres on June 26, the same day as its DVD release.

Major studio films this month feature the work of some of the most popular actors in Hollywood, including Denzel Washington, Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law,  Nicolas Cage, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Eddie Murphy, Julia Roberts, Jonah Hill, Liam Neeson and Jane Fonda.

Cable viewers will be treated to a number of indie gems in June 2012, including “In Darkness,”

“Thin Ice,” “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding,” “Anderson Silva: Like Water” and “Bullhead.”

“360,” with Jude Law and Rachel Weisz premieres before it is in theatres, as does “The Magic of Belle Isle” with Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen . “Chely Wright Wish Me Away” and “Anderson Silva: Like Water” both premiere the same day as their theatrical releases. Details below.
