The Master Teaser Trailer #2

The follow-up teaser trailer for The Master was just thrust magnanimously into our collective lap. And get this, Phillip Seymour Hoffman finally appears mustachioed and as brilliant as ever. A favorite of P.T. Anderson’s, PSH has appeared in nearly all of his films, but for the first time, takes center-stage. And then…he asks a lot of questions. To which Joaquin Phoenix answers with…some more questions. Oh man, I have so many questions! I am eagerly awaiting the release of this film and the fact that it will hit theaters a week before my birthday means I don’t have to pay for it!

Also making an appearance is the effervescent Amy Adams, apparently PSH’s lover/wife/lady-friend. Is she jealous of Phoenix’s ability to conjure the lust for writing in PSH’s character? How does Phoenix land in jail? And here we get to see Phoenix screaming at PSH, but when do we get to see one of the utmost pleasures of modern movie-going…PSH screaming at the top of his lungs? See, way too many questions!

The synopsis:

[box_dark]Following World War II, a charismatic intellectual (Hoffman) launches a faith-based organization and taps a young drifter (Phoenix) as his right-hand man. But as the faith begins to gain a fervent following, the onetime vagabond finds himself questioning the belief system he has embraced, as well as his mentor.[/box_dark]
