SDCC ’12: FRANKENWEENIE Homage Trailer Debut

Another highlight from Comic Con today was the brand new Frankenweenie “homage” trailer, which debuted during the Walt Disney Studios panel. Honestly, the flick was not really on my radar, but after watching this trailer and chatting with the film’s producers, Don Hahn and Allison Abbate, this adaptation of Tim Burton’s 1984 short film has gone straight to the top of my must-see list. The trailer lovingly parodies classic 1950’s monster movies in gorgeous black-and-white stop-motion. Find out more about the characters of Frankenweenie here! The film comes to life on October 5 and features the voice talents of Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, and Conchata Ferrell. Check out the trailer below and stay tuned for my interviews with Frankenweenie‘s producers!

Also, if you are attending Comic Con you should definitely stop by the Disney booth and marvel at the beautiful puppets and sets from Frankenweenie!
