A New (and Different!) Ending for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2

This week’s Entertainment Weekly broke *HUGE* news for fans anxiously awaiting the November release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

According to Stephenie Meyer (Twilight series author) and Melissa Rosenberg (screenwriter of all the Twilight films), audiences will get a “pretty big shock in the final third” of Breaking Dawn – Part 2, “when the plot strays from the last novel in a sequence dreamed up by Meyer … [and] Rosenberg one night over dinner.”

Robert Pattinson told EW: “When I first read the script, I got to that part and was like, ‘What?‘ And then I had to go back a page.” But, the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 stars promised EW that fans will not be disappointed with the new twist. Pattinson said that the ending “does [the series] a serious justice.” His co-star, Kristen Stewart agreed, telling EW that “[i]t’s clearly made by someone who really likes [the saga], who really cares.”

In addition to this surprise news, Summit Entertainment also released a new Japanese trailer for Breaking Dawn – Part 2. At 1:04, it is 15 seconds shorter than the most recent U.S. trailer, and (unfortunately) does not add anything new for us Twihards to see and salivate over.
