Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR Teaser Trailer: We Are Still Pioneers

Christopher Nolan has become a director talented enough to get butts in theater seats off his name alone. Matthew McConaughey has been on a fantastic streak lately with the likes of Mud, Magic Mike, Killer Joe, and more recently Dallas Buyers Club and The Wolf of Wall Street. That streak looks to be extending with his work in Nolan’s Interstellar coming in 2014. We get our first glimpse of the worm-hole exploration film with the teaser trailer that was just released today.

Personally, I love who this teaser give away the plot. It gives you a sense of the tone and overall feel of what Nolan’s going for, shows the star, and highlights the talent involved. While not much, that’s certainly enough to pique people’s interest, which is exactly what teasers and trailers are supposed to do. They are not supposed to make it feel like you’ve already watched the movie.

The film also stars Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, John Lithgow and Michael Caine. The trailer release came along with the launch of an official site for the movie, as well as Facebook and Twitter pages, and the black and white logo seen above.

Sound off in the comments if this teaser trailer leaves you looking forward to more of apathetic about this sci-fi drama.
