Comic-Con 2014 Preview: 6 Things We Are Excited For

It’s that time of year again, when geeks from around the country and even the world come together in beautiful San Diego, CA for Comic-Con 2014! Screeninvasion.com is sending four writers to the Con to invade Hall H, Indigo Ballroom, and the rest of the San Diego Convention Center all weekend! Check out our list below of some of the panels and exhibits that we are most excited for! Key and Peele Panel Indigo Ballroom – Thursday 1:30-3:00 PM

Mad TV alums Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele have teamed up to provide three fantastic seasons of the hit Comedy Central show “Key and Peele”. The two will be at Indigo Ballroom to discuss their show, and to preview Season 4, which will be premiering in September. We will be there to provide coverage of this panel that is sure to have the Comic-Con crowd in stitches!

Community Panel Ballroom 20 – Thursday 2:15-3:15 PM

Cult fans unite. Community will be coming back to Comic-Con to discuss the show that has left such a mark on so many fans around the world. The cast will be there to discuss the cancellation of their show, and what the future holds on it’s new platform: Yahoo Screen! Tune in to catch our Five Thoughts on this eagerly anticipated panel/

Jack McBrayer and Triump The Insult Comic Dog Panel Indigo Ballroom – Friday 1:00-2:00 PM

30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer is teaming up with Conan O’Brien’s old sidekick Triump The Insult Comic Dog for a new sitcom coming to TV this fall! Be sure to look out for our press hour coverage, as we will bring you audio interviews of these two stars, as well as co-creator Michael Koman.

Kevin Smith Panel Hall H – Friday 6:45-8:00 PM

One of the most popular panels in all of Comic-Con year in and year out, Kevin Smith returns to discuss his upcoming projects, but for the most part, just to shoot the shit. Smith spends a majority of the panel fielding audience questions, and takes no qualms in poking a bit of fun at his loyal fans.

Batman Art Exhibit – Friday-Sunday 12:00-7:00 PM

File this under your activities to do outside of the Convention Center. In honor of the 75th anniversary of Batman, The Hard Rock Hotel will be hosting a “Batman: Arkham Knight” Cape/Crawl/Create Art Exhibit that will showcase some of the best Caped Crusader art work there is. The exhibit will be open to the public from 12-7 PM Friday-Sunday, with some pieces being auctioned off for charity.

The Strain Panel Hall H – Sunday 1:45-3:45

Guillermo Del Toro looks to have another hit on his hands as The Strain has infected FX viewers with it’s Sci-Fi action. There will be a sneak peak of Episode #3 at the panel, followed by a Q&A with the main cast members, including Sean Astin, Corey Stoll, David Bradley, and others!
