SDCC ’14: HITMAN: AGENT 47 Hopes You Don’t Remember The Last HITMAN Film

One of the many films from FOX at Comic-Con this year was the video game adapation, Hitman: Agent 47. While the last Hitman film is better off forgotten, this one is hoping to forge a new path using improved technology, bigger stars, and solid storytelling.

While Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware didn’t want to give out any spoilers, they did saw that “Nothing is what it seems with these people…they’re all serving their own agendas.” With Hannah’s Katia being an entirely new character, not one from the video games, it allows them a lot of freedom in storytelling as well as lets her have freedom in her role. According to Ware, “She has an acute sense of survival, that I can’t really go in to without giving away too much, but that was fun to explore as well.”

The final question at the press conference asked specifically about what differentiates this from the 2008 Hitman. Zachary Quinto summed it up with, “There’s been a lot of advances in technology since then. It’s a lot slicker now.”

During the panel they debuted an action-packed trailer. Keep your eyes peeled – we’ll post it on the site should that become available online!

Hitman: Agent 47 will hit theaters in 2015.
