Tetris World Record Attempt At Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo

201 people put on various Tetris pieces costumes and attempted to set a new world record at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday November 1st, 2014. Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo is quickly becoming a big time convention with various comic book artists, actors & actresses, vendors, exhibitors and other forms of awesome nerd greatness descending upon the Los Angeles Convention Center for 3 days each year. This year the expo was held on Halloween weekend, so it brought out many costumes and all around fun.

Tetris is one of the most beloved games so it’s not surprising that so many people came together to attempt a new world record! Human tetris pieces for the win! Rasta Imposta provided each person who participated with their awesome Tetris piece costume. Maya Rogers who is the CEO of Blue Planet Software which is the agent for the Tetris brand said, “When we decided to participate in Comikaze, we knew it would be the perfect opportunity for Tetris fans of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate their affinity for the game, and show the world that Tetris symbolizes how we all fit together.” They’ve submitted it and now we wait and see how it all went!

It’s the 30th anniversary of Tetris, how old do you guys feel now? I remember playing Tetris a lot more when I was younger, but when I can get my hands on it, I still play it and enjoy it dearly! Are you guys fans of Tetris? Still play? Did any of you participate in the world record attempt at the Comikaze Expo? Comment below in the comments section with your thoughts and such!

Also, don’t forget to check out a picture below and head on over to the official Tetris Instagram page for more pictures and video! I’m looking forward too what world record the Comikaze Expo might try to do next year! Any thoughts on what you guys think they should do?
