The Most Anticipated Video Games of 2015

Driving games, fighting games, role playing, there are many different types of game released every year, every manufacturer either hoping to copy the success of their last one or to become the newest big hit. Then there are the smaller game makers, still trying to make their mark. Obviously, the most eagerly awaited game is a matter of personal preference, but there are always some which game players are desperate to see released.  Whatever your preferred platform, Xbox, PlayStation or PC (to name a few), there is something that will appeal to every avid gamer out there:

Evolve

Evolve

A team based shooting game, as opposed to many of the team based games on the market; this game is set up as monsters versus squad and teamwork is essential. Each member of the team has their own specific skill sets, each piece vital to tracking and destroying the monster (there are three in total). You can rarely flee these monsters and need to find and defeat them early, the more flesh they eat, the stronger they get. The wildlife you pass through must not be overlooked – there are many dangers on the way. The game is based on an Earth like planet, with excellent audio, creating an unsettling, creepy feel.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Reborn in 2013, this game builds on the first game, where a young Lara Croft is stronger due to the incredible highs and lows of her experiences so far, but she is not yet the confident women we all know. This time around, she’s on her way to Russia, looking for a long lost city.  A change of setting means a whole new set of animals to hunt and a different challenge in staying alive. In response to the fans, the tombs are back in the game, the hunt is on!

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront

A multiplayer shooting game, based on the successful films, players can choose to fight as part of the heroic rebellion or, on the side of the Galactic Empire – you can rise through the ranks through winning battles, all of which are based on known planets such as the forests of Endor or Hoth, the ice planet. Players accumulate points and enough of these will allow them to play as a ‘hero’ character, with all extra abilities and powers they have. The campaign may be a little long but with the multiplayer side should help – up to 64 on each side!

No Mans Sky

This game could prove to be revolutionary! It creates a massive, living galaxy, with an infinite number of planets, a huge variety of life forms to go with these planets and an open invitation to explore. It falls into the category of an adventure video game; the player is an explorer, with a space craft and the ability to upgrade both the character and the spacecraft along the way.  There are enemies to fight and resources to collect, sell and trade, all with the ultimate goal of reaching the centre of the Galaxy.

Halo 5 Guardians

Halo 5 Guardians

The Halo series has been around for many years and continues to be an excellent first person shooter game. In this game, the Colony worlds have been unexpected attacked and a master chief petty officer John-117 has gone missing. A new character, called Agent Locke, an aggressive sounding Spartan, is tasked to track him down and working out what mysterious source is threatening the entire galaxy. Perhaps of most interest is how this new character will affect the previous hero, John-117.

Batman – Arkham Knight

This is the finale in the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat. All of the super villains are here – The Scarecrow, Penguin, Two face and Harley Quinn. All of them are looking to destroy Batman for good. This is the first version with the Batmobile and the game is driveable (if you’re looking for more amazing drivable games, check out Dirt Bike Games 365). The graphics are excellent and players are able to both fly above the buildings and drive through them – promising to be the best Batman game yet.
